First of all we were lucky to have the aurora that night,
Secoindly we were happy to have chosen Yellowknife Vacations with its small group.

We like to thank Amit Tripathi for his guidance and especially to give us that extra stop because he told us the aurora was so beautiful that time. Please check the picture taken during that extra stop.

They were very nice and polite. There was some delay to pick us up, but they were in touch all the time to let us know there would be someone to get us soon. It was a nice experience. The weather wasn’t great, but it was good.

Our Aurora Tour was great, really, exceeding expectations, largely due to our knowledgeable guide Amit, who picked us up at our hotel on time at around 11:00 pm and then drove our party to the right lakes at the right times so we could see lots of sublime and thrilling auroras in the sky. We were provided with hot chocolate or coffee etc. and cookies, too. And he gave interesting information about the nature of auroras and so on, and took pictures of my wife and me (and our fellow tour members) with auroras in the background, and then sent us links so we could download the pictures later. AND he even drove half of our party to the airport after the tour so we could get there easily and comfortably by 5:00 AM when it opened.

Amit is just a really nice and enthusiastic and intelligent and communicative and helpful guide!

My wife and I were expecting a tour in English only, but apart from my Japanese wife and American me, the other 12 tour participants were Chinese, so in addition to Amit we had a Chinese guide who would translate Amit’s English explanations into Chinese for our Chinese fellow tour participants at length. At first I was (selfishly) wishing that our tour had been only in English. But then many of our Chinese fellow tour members (who were all quite nice) probably wouldn’t have understood as much, and we got used to the situation quickly and by the end of the tour had heard many of Amit’s English explanations about auroras and Yellow Knife history and so on.

Anyway, you should maybe be ready for a bilingual tour rather than an exclusively English one.

Finally, our tour was really worth the money, as we learned so much about auroras and Yellow Knife and saw so many auroras too. We feel lucky to have done it.

The tour was well managed. They offered nice pick up services, accommodation and unlimited photo taking services. The weather was good and we saw wonderful Aurora in the bus tour. Definitely will join Yellowknife Vacation next time. Thanks Amit, Shan Shan, Maria, Tom and all people involved.

安かったことと、レビューがよかったのでツアー前日に予約しました。中国人向けのツアーで、日本人は私たちだけでしたが、ガイドさんはとても気遣いができる方で、写真もたくさんとってくださいましたし、楽しかったです。少し離れたB&Bに宿泊していましたが、送迎もしていただけました。オーロラもとてもきれいでした！

Nature tours can be challenging as you need Mother Nature to cooperate, however, having tour guides like Amit & Iris on this tour made this experience thoroughly worthwhile. They care so much that they literally tried to chase down the aurora to give us the best experiences (& photos) possible. One can just feel that they don’t just do this for the money but they have an inner passion for the Auroras and they genuinely care about their guests. Thanks to them, we got to see some magnificent lights and had a memorable visit. We went with them on 2 consecutive nights. Iris clicked some great pics and Amit is so friendly and compassionate. Highly recommend them.

Amit was a great guide! He was really motivated and excited about the lights himself which made it more exciting. It really is a chase for the Aurora as the weather is so unpredictable. With thick cloud coverage, rain and snow that caused us to pull over…we were amazed as the Aurora started dancing above us! We had pulled over until the snow slowed down and were having hot chocolates and delicious biscuits when this occured and we were able to watch this for over an hour! Amit and Iris were so focused on capturing the moment for us with their camera, snapping as many photos as they could of each couple/group as well as individual photos and photos of the Aurora. I loved they were able to do this and then email all of the high resolution copies to you the same night! All round the tour was great!

They are super very extremely good !!!
They took professional unlimited photo for us without extra cost, so that we can keep the best memory in Yellowknife aurora night!!! They searched best place to view the aurora light. We had 3-4 stops that nights with different background photo with the light. We saw the green n pink b purple light. It was unforgettable night!
Moreover, they operate small group tour around 1x people so that they took good care of every single one !!
And they send us the photo promptly right after the hunting. Very efficient.
You guys must choose them for light hunting !!! Super Highly recommended !!!!

Sugestão: para as pessoas que não conseguem ver a Aurora boreal devido ao mal clima no dia marcado, a agência deveria dar uma segunda oportunidade agendando um novo dia e horário para que o cliente saia mais feliz e a agência ganharia mais credibilidade com isto.

We had the most amazing experience with Amit. We were only in Yellowknife for a short time. The first thing we did was have Amit pick us up at the airport and our tour began immediately. He was with us for 4 solid hours and spend time telling us stories, giving us tons of interesting information and he spent time to actually take us through the museums and legislative buildings and giving us a thorough guided tour.

We found Amit to be passionate, energized, enthusiastic and genuinely determined to make sure we had a fantastic time. He did not disappoint. We eventually spent 2 weeks travelling through NWT and Yukon–he was by far, one of the more memorable experiences.

Highly, highly, highly recommend his committed services!

Our guides, Amit and Nikki picked us up right on time and we were taken to four locations for viewing. The first was not on the agenda, but our driver had noticed the Aurora was happening. I was a little disappointed. However, at the second and third stops, we were very fortunate and experienced a wonderful display. By the time we got to the last location, the moon was too high and so we left. We were very lucky to have seen anything as it was a full moon. My husband and I were thrilled! I would love to see it again, but next time, will check when the full moon is happening and avoid going then. We went in early September and it got a little chilly, especially as you spend so much time just standing at the various locations, so I would advise wearing warm clothing!

I strongly recommend this agency.
All staffs are super kind and willing to take amazing pics for sure..
I am not the person related to this company, but I used other companies as well so I can say this is much better when it comes to the service.
Even if my family come, I will take them to this agency.
They are friendly and take unlimited pics although it took a lot of time..

Went out on an aurora tour for three consecutive nights. As a lot depends on luck, we had one gorgeous viewing night, one OK night and one rather inactive night.

That said, throughout the tour, Amit and a Chinese speaking guide (majority was Chinese tourists) was very resourceful, knowledgeful, and consistently tried to keep participants happy. Amit also provided lots of local information that was very useful for daytime activities and choosing restaurants .

Hearing from other participants that had went to a different aurora tours, this tour is probably best in cost performance and satisfaction level. Definitely highly recommended.

We had an amazing experience with Amit and Nikki last night. They were very knowledgeable and stopped changed routes to accommodate the aurora. Lots of photos were taken as well! Great experience all around!

The trip was re-scheduled to a later time of the evening to cope with weather condition. Grace, an energetic girl, took the group to 3 different places. She explained in details the settings of cameras. And, she help each member setting up with their smart phone. Grace is a good photographer too. Everyone in the group brought home some photos with them in front of beautiful northern lights. Highly recommend.

They use their professional equipment and skills to take photos for everyone for free. We keep them very busy from start to finish.

Estuvimos en Yellowknife el 21 y 22 de agosto de este año. Decidimos quedarnos dos noches para aumentar nuestras posibilidades de ver la aurora. La primera noche estuvo nublada por lo cual la aurora estuvo tenue, en cambio, la segunda noche el cielo estuvo totalmente claro y nos permitió vivir una experiencia maravillosa y cumplir el sueño de ver “the dancing Aurora”. This was the great aurora tour. We could watch great aurora from the 2 different parks. Our guide/driver taught us about aurora clearly and took some photos with us under aurora.

Amit and Iris were really kind and helpful. They helped everyone to set their cameras and also clicked as many photos of us as we wanted, there was no limit, and a few hours later they sent them to our email totally free! Aurora was amazing and we could see It in every location. We stopped at 3 lakes and they also made a bonus stop at the beggining of the tour because aurora was visible at that moment. Amit talked a lot about Aurora Borealis and answer all out questions. They also gave us hot drinks.
We were able to see 2 red foxes too! Thank you Amit and iris for the awesome time!

Matt and Iris were so kind and did their best to have us see nice aurora. Matt has a good knowledge of aurora and explained to us in detail. Iris took our pictures with aurora so many times professionally. And they gave us more than 100 raw files of pictures. Compared to so commercial tour agencies, they are so sincere guides who love aurora and to provide people good experience.

Have been wanting to see this for quite a while. Our tour guide Ahmed (Correction: Amit) was very knowledgeable about the area. He took us up to 4 lakes to see the lights and hit the jackpot in one of them. Really a very enjoyable tour. Will definitely recommend to friends.

Amit called to confirm our pick up location the day ahead of our trip. He picked our family up on time (kids 10 & 12) and our group drove around to about three different locations. Amit really tried, but we did not see the Aurora that night due to cloudy weather. However, we did have a good time and Amit was super helpful and patient as he helped get our digital camera settings right. That proved to be very helpful when we went out on a different night with a different group. In fact, our pictures turned out better than the tour operator’s (not Amit) pictures of us! In short, I would definitely book with Yellowknife Vacations again and am happy to recommend them to others. Also, I liked our group size of about 8 people – it wasn’t too big and wasn’t too small.

My family and I participated Aurora Tour and City Sightseeing Tour during Esster holidays. Special thanks to Amit who is our guide of the above mentioned tours. For Aurora Tour, he explained in detail about the northern light to all of us. He also taught us how to set the function key in our cameras and mobile phones to capture the northern light. Besides, he took many many photos with the background of northern light st different places for all of us and sent these photos to us which is much appreciated. This is extremely a very valuable experience to us which is amazing. For the City Sightseeing Tour, Amit is really a very talkative, friendly and nice guide who introduced many signature places in Yellowknife which made our trip perfect. My family and I would like to thank him again.

Yellowknife tours (Correction: Yellowknife vacations) were very accommodating to shift our aurora hunting to another day as the weather was not conducive on the day we booked our tour.

I tried two different tour operators for aurora hunting while in Yellowknife and Yellowknife vacations turned out to be better even when we paid more for the other tour operator. Amit and Cassie were amazing hosts, Amit was very enthusiastic to show us around and we covered three different locations while Cassie clicked a lot of pictures for us.

I would recommend anybody coming to Yellowknife to book a tour with them and no one else

I literally enjoyed the aurora tour with it. As well as recommend to everyone who wants to have a great tour that go through this !.
You do not need to worry about how many pictures you want to be taken. We got bunch of our pictures taken without any imitations and costs. In addition, the guide is really great, he always plays by ears and check forecast, weather, sky, and so on.
Even though you can not see the northern lights, dont worry, he finds some places and take nice pictures for you guys !

We joined in Aurora tour for three days. Luckily, we were able to see beautiful and amazing Aurora every night. Our tour guide, Amit is such a great tour guide because he helps us take creative and memorable pictures and he is really professional with taking pictures. Also, I ould know what Aurora is because of his explanation. Each night, he picked us up at our hotel and changed the location to view Aurora. I would highly recommend you to take Aurora tour with Aurora Vacation.

I participated in this tour with my friends. They came to pick up us to the hotel right on time:) We booked for three days, and luckily, we saw Aurora every three days! Amit (our tour guide) was kind, friendly, and funny, and we really enjoyed the tour! This package includes no-limited photographing, and I think this is a big advantage for us. Amit suggested us various posing and technique for the photographing, and we got many beautiful pictures. I would highly recommend this tour!

We joined 2 tours: City Tour and Aurora Tour. We joined the city tour first. It was in the lowest of the low season so there were only 2 of us but Amit still came to our hotel to pick us up and tour us around. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. It was still cold especially on the top of the windy Pilot’s Monument. He didn’t hesitate to take off his glove and volunteer to take photos for us.
Since we had a very positive experience with the city tour, we joined the Aurora tour the next day. Unlike another travel agency which just told us to join a few days in a row, whether the weather is good or bad, Amit told us which night is very unlikely to see the Aurora and which night has a much higher chance so we don’t need to spend a cold night out just for a full sky of cloud. In addition to the 2 of us, there were 2 more groups of 2 joined and we went to 3 places. The first stop was still early and the sky was too bright and kind of cloudy. Amit suggested to head somewhere else. On our way to the second spot, the aurora was out and he headed to the closest stop, Yellowknife River, immediately. We were able to take lots of great shots. The last stop was the Ice Road on Great Slave Lake. We were lucky that the Ice Road was still open that night and we were able to go there to take more pictures. Oh, we also saw the aurora dance! On return, we requested to be dropped off at the City Hall instead of our hotel to take photos for the tail end of the aurora. Amit was so nice that he told us to wait there and he will come back and pick us up after he drops off the other two customers in uptown. That was about 10 minutes and just right for us to take our last set of pictures. Amit also took amazing pictures for us with his own camera though out the night (with and without people in the picture). The photos were sent back to us shortly after we were back to the hotel and they are free of charge. Amit has taken good care of us and it was a very enjoyable night.
The tour bus is clean and comfortable. It is good that Amit doesn’t smoke. We joined another tour earlier and I had to stay away from that tour guide’s cigarette smoke.

**Note** we went in the low season so we could join tours even on the same day. However, when it is high season, it is very unlikely to book tours last minute like this.

我們參加了黃刀市區遊和巴士追光。雖然只有我們兩人報名市區遊，友善的Amit卻不介意只帶我們去觀光。他在黃刀住了十多年，對黃刀有豐富的認識 。當日仍然很冷，Amit也很主動除下手套幫忙拍照。

我們很滿意市區遊，他們的價錢又合理，所以我們參加了隨後那天的巴士追光。我們詢問過另一間旅行社的極光團，他們只慫恿我們參加一連幾天的追光。但Amit卻會告訴我們哪晚極大機會看不到和哪晚有很高機會看到極光，讓客人不用整晚待在嚴寒中只看到滿天的雲。當晚去了三個地方。第一個地方有額多雲，而且時候尚早天空比較光，只看到星星看不到極光，我們轉地方再看。去第二個地方途中，極光出現了。Amit 趕緊去到最近可以停下的地點讓我們拍照，那就是 Yellowknife River。那天很好彩，湖上的冰路還開放給車行。我們最後的景點就是在湖中心拍極光照。回程時，我和朋友要求在市政廳下車而不是回酒店。因為我們想嘗試在市區拍極光照。Amit 很好人，他叫我們在市政廳等他，讓他送另外兩位團友後大概10分鐘他就可以回來送我們回酒店。Amit當晚也用自己的相機幫團友拍照，有人的和全風景的。我們回到酒店不久已經收到他的相片，不另收費的。他全程照顧得團友很好。

旅遊巴士很乾淨和舒服。還有一個好處是Amit不抽煙。我們也有參加另一個團但導遊會吸煙，每次下車我也要找地方避開他的煙。

**注意** 我們是淡季去的，可以在當天才報旅行團。但要是旺季，這麼遲才報團成功機會應該很低

4月的淡季臨時參加，到步才決定報名，只一天前用電話報名，確實是2人成團，那天就真的只有我們2人也很熱情招待。可能因為是淡季，只有英文導遊Amid，他應該是最後留守的吧，之後再參加追光也是他帶。他人很好，載我們大概3個多小時，主要遊覽是黃刀鎮的old town，還有downtown的博物館等，資料也滿詳細的。車子是可載13人的中車，感覺是乾淨舒服的。有到紀念品店，但沒有一定要買東西或介紹什麼東西給我們，讓我們自己逛一下，想買才買。

We come from HK joined Aurora Vacation on Mar 30. It is an exellent experience. We saw very nice aurora and even dancing aurora in the sky. Furthermore, Amit and Kris are so kind, helpful and very professional. They help to take lots of photos for us. We highly recommend it. The #1 best in town tour.

誰もが憧れるオーロラツアーに、とうとう行くことができました。日本ガイドのあるツアーの方が安心かなと思っていましたが、コストの観点やレビューの評判から、思い切ってこちらの”Yellowknife Vacations”に申し込みました。ガイドの方はAmitという好青年で、彼は私のつたない英語でも真摯に、たまに冗談混じりで受け答えをしてくれて私達はすぐに打ち解け合う事ができました。結果的に三日間のうち２日は天候は恵まれず残念な思いをしたのですが、Amitは２日目の天候予測があまりにも悪いためツアーのキャンセルを勧める等、常に私達の事を優先して考えた対応をとってくれました。幸運にも三日目は最高の天候となり、私達はとても大きなオーロラを見ることができました。今回は急遽の計画だったため、備品がしっかり整っておらず、またいつの日か来訪したいとAmitに話すと、彼はオーロラ観測に関する知識を惜しげもなく私に教えてくれて次回の旅行をより良いものにすることに協力してくれました、ありがとうAmit。３つのロケーションに連れて行ってくれたり、写真撮影の無料サービスがあったり、温かいコーヒーが飲めるなど、オーロラサービスに関してはこれ以上のサービスは無いと思えるほど、満足のいくサービスを受けることができました。次回もしオーロラツアーにまた訪れるのなら、是非とももう一度利用したいツアー会社です。(*^_^*)

They picked up us from our B&B apartment which is not like others just hotels only. Then they took us to three different places to see the aurora and all of them are great and have their own specialist. After the tour, we are thinking that we have done a very good decision to go with them out of many tours. Amit and Amy are very nice and professional, and they gave us a lot of introduction about aurora and yellowknife, and also gave us some tips to set the camera for the photos. My own camera is an old one and can’t take the best pictures. But they help us to take a lot of fatastic pictures for us FREE! We have a big family with old people and kids, they have prepared a lot of cookies and drinks to keep us a warm during the cold night. It is so great. At last and the most important thing, they gave us a good lucky to see the fantastic Aurora during the night. Highly recommendation them for others.

I called the day before we arrived at Yellowknife. Amit answered the call and picked us up at the hotel at night. It happened that we were the only two customers that night, and Amit still came to serve us. Amit was very knowledgeable. He told us about the aurora borealis as well as Yellowknife. He drove us to several locations. Unfortunately we were not able to see good aurora in the first three locations, but the sky was beautiful full of stars. Amit tried his best in the hunting and at last, we did at the fourth site, I think it was Yellowknife River. It was the first time we saw aurora, and was very impressed and happy. We would like to go back again, may be in September. If we do, we would join Yellowknife Vacations again, and hope to have Amit again.

We joined a local tour of Aurora Vacation yesterday. It is definitely an exellent experience. We saw a very beatufal aurora and many stars in the sky. Furthermore, Amit and Kris are so nice and very professional. I am very recommend it.

We had a great night hunting the Aurora. We were very lucky and saw them right from the beginning of the night. Amit drove us to a couple of great spots, to make sure we would have different backgrounds for the pictures which he took for us. He gave a lot of interesting information and made sure we had a great night. Also, our safety was his priority. We would recommend the tour to everybody who visits Yellowknife. How can you top seeing the skies open with the most incredible light show? You can by having Amit and Sin guide you. They enthusiastically make sure you see the Aurora from many angles adding their knowledge of the science behind the colors. In addition, they have a camera and take pictures of you and the colors. Many pictures, no charge. They will also work with your phone or camera to make sure the settings are correct for shooting the sky. I felt safe on those icy roads and well cared for. Thank you so much Amit and Sin.

我们一行四人，两个老人，一个孩子。一晚原住民极光，一晚巴士追光。原住民那晚云层厚，没看见极光，但是体验了原住民活动，吃了烤鱼和小点心，还体验了五分钟的雪上摩托。巴士追光那晚，天气好，运气好，我们看到很多很漂亮的极光，真是太开心了。司机Admi和导游Sin都很友好，专业，绝对值得拥有。有朋友一定推荐他们。因为是小团体，照顾得很周到，还会帮你拍照转发给你。 We are so glad find this tour company. They did very Good job to hunt the aurora in bus hunting tour. We have a very wonderful night. Thank you Admi and Sin，you make our Yellowknife vacation unforgettable.

Amit was great, he greeted us at our hotel on time, provided hot drinks in the van. He managed to get us a Chinese tour guide in short notice. Amit was very knowledgeable on how the aurora was formed and the way that it can show. Our night wasn’t the best night to catch the aurora, Amit drove us to 3 locations to try our luck, him and the Chinese tour guide used an app to see if the aurora would be happening that night, and when it got closer to us, Amit drove us to chase the aurora, hoping it will happen. It did happen for 15mins eventually, though the light was faint and was not as strong as expected, and this isn’t something that anyone can control. I felt lucky that we did finally see it.

I highly recommend Amit/ yellowknife vacations, they are very accommodating and flexible in taking care of our needs

This was our first time on snow mobiles and we had a blast! Our guide gave us excellent advice and took us on a fantastic trip on a frozen lake and on some side trails. I recommend this company with the highest enthusiasm.

Handsome Amit is the driver and lovely girl Amy is the tour guide on my trip on that night , they make a happy trip to me because they take a lot of pictures for me when the light comes , they fully take care and present many information about the light , talk many information about the light and stars , thanks for your passion and make a amazing tour to me , enjoy your working holiday .

Amit was an active guide, he brought us to Deltah area which was dark and quiet. He help us a lot for capturing our picture with aurora. He is friendly and good narrative. We would recommend everyone to join “Yellowknife Vacations”

The aurora was so amazing, and I want to come to see aurora again. The staff were very kind for us .

We are so glad we booked the Aurora tour with Yellowknife vacations and with Amit in particular. Amit is such a knowledgeable and personable person he made the tour very comfortable. What really stood out to us though was how diligent he was in finding sites where we could see the Aurora Borealis. We stopped at 3 places and were able to find the AB at all 3. Amit was extraordinary about getting his equipment set up quickly and taking multiple pictures of each of us. He was really good at getting us each into pictures when the lights were good. For those with cameras that could be manually set he also shared what settings he was using so they could try the same. Even with manual overrides I could not get decent pics on the iPhone- so it was outstanding to hear that the whole collection of pictures Amit had taken of my husband and me were to be sent to us at no charge the next day. True to his word Amit sent 36 pictures to us today! All of this, btw, was on a night when the AB had a really low rating of being seen. I wished we had booked several nights of tours with Amit as others in our small group of 7 had. My advice—-don’t look elsewhere; go with Amit and Yellowknife Vacations. You’ll be glad you did!

My dream was to visit the north lights and eventually I did it. the experience was unique. I started from Greece and without knowing English, Amit and the tourist office made me feel safe before I even started from Greece. Before I got to Yelloknife everything was very organized and they were sent to my email. when I arrived at Yelloknife, the amusement and good mood of the guide Amit appeared from the beginning. although I had a little difficulty with my waist and bread I went to all the guided tours and I Amit that he looked at me very much and thanked him very much for it. the guided tours that we were unique and very well organized. I was going to visit the Indian island of Bob where his house was home, he told us stories … he stoned a fish that had fished earlier for us and he was singing songs of his race, that night I was very lucky and very happy because I saw the north lights it was a unique experience … although I think Amit was more happy about me because I made such a long trip and yes I saw the lights hahahahaha. I would like to thank the tourist office very much but personally for Amit because he was with the group constantly, told us what he knew about the city and made me spend two days unforgettable. yes i would go again !!! Thank you very much .

Out of all four Aurora tours that we booked with various Yellowknife tour companies, Aboriginal Aurora tour by far provided the best experience. Amit was personally with us all the time and made sure all guests were very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the tour in spite of severe cold weather. Two Aboriginal hosts provided the ski-doo toboggan ride on the frozen lake to the aboriginal cabin. The cabin was spacious and, kept clean and very warm. The hosts served their specialty native food; freshly cooked local lake-fish and bannock with homemade maple butter. It was once in a lifetime opportunity to know about the aboriginal history, culture and take part in drumming.

Even though, moderate activity was forecasted on that night, we were fortunate to view Aurora Borealis continuously and dancing aurora with green and pink colors frequently with our own naked eyes. Obviously, our camera caught lot more aurora colors and intensity. Additionally, Amit captured all those wonderful Aurora photos with us in the foreground and emailed the weblink for downloading.

Amit is a very nice and enthusiastic tour guide. He is very organized and knowledgeable. He tried his best to provide us with memorable Aurora Borealis viewing experience. All hosts and guests were very friendly people and as a bonus, we enjoyed each other’s company very well.

I just returned from a 3 night, 4 day tour with Yellowknife Vacations and would highly recommend them. They did everything they promised and more and were flexible throughout the entire time. The guides were great and the aurora pictures they took were amazing. I would DEFINITELY recommend them to my friends and anyone else.

Tourism at its finest! Yellowknife vacations made the trip up north worth it. Very organized and the tours are well thought out. Definitely worth the money and your time.

Our super friendly guides, Amit T and Kris L are very knowledgeable in all aspects of the northern lights, the community, and pretty much everything about Yellowknife in general. Every tour we did with them was so much fun and insightful. They are enthusiastic and very much involved with the community. It truly shows that they love what they do and that makes it so much better. They both bring warmth and a wonderful time in these subarctic temperatures. You definitely want these two by your side when in Yellowknife! My girlfriend Karen, and I, are more than grateful to have met you both!

They will snap your pictures endlessly with technical proficiency using their own gear as part of the tour -as long as you want them to of course. And oh boy… we had lots of great pictures! Amit and Kris will immortalize those moments for you while you just enjoy and soak in all the Aurora you can get.

Amazing, Breathtaking, Awesome, over the top experience. from start to finish every minute was well spent!! Pick up was very punctual and the Amit was very nice, well organized and knowledgeable. He was giving updates for everything like where were headed, history of each and every place and especially about Aurora borealis and Yellowknife. He tried to keep us warm by offering us hot drinks and varieties of cookies. We had lot of spectacular pictures of dancing aurora. Its one of my lucky day to see the dancing aurora. It was freezing cold however our guide was very helpful in taking many pictures of each and every person. we went to total of 6 locations to capture different views of aurora. One of them is ice road and ice castle. I was amazed by that castle that built on lake.

It was very nice to know the history of all the places we visited and things we did. one should see this place once in their lifetime. Finally I checked off one in my bucket list.. I had booked with few tour companies before and felt average. Just got what I went for. This one is very unique in their way. Very respectful towards guests and takes care of each and every person and explain everything about where they are about to take you or why they do that way. I greatly recommend this tour company.

The lights were kind to us and they were really strong the night we went out. As we were the only customers on the tour we had the chance to see quite a few different locations, lakes, the ice road, ice castle boats on the shore, the Yellowknife sign all of them great places for photos. Our tour guides were super nice and we got tons and tons of photos they took for memories for free. Was freezing cold outside, but they had hot drinks (and an amazing cookie selection btw). We really loved the trip, especially as we saw so many different places 🙂

My friends and I joined three days aurora tours. We had lots of fun with the aurora and our tour guide Amit. Even we didn’t see aurora all these three days, Amit showed us other photo tricks. We had really great time. Highly recommend!

Dogsledding: we spent time playing with the dogs! Amazing trail, people and story! Snowmobile: after a brief instruction, we got on our snowmobile. It is easy and has a lot of fun!! Highly recommend.

Yellowknife Vacations did an amazing job coordinating our itinerary and showing us the sights of the town! We had the four day three night package, and during the day my mom and I participated in fun activities like dogsledding and snowmobiling, and at night a Yellowknofe Vacations van picked us up and took us on Ingraham Trail and Great Slave Lake to view the Aurora (with hot chocolate, tea, and cookies readily available). We were fortunate enough that the Aurora was pretty active while we were there and had quite a breathtaking display. The last night of the viewing would’ve taken us to an Indigenous hut where we would’ve interacted with the locals and learned hands-on about their culture and way of life, but unfortunately my mom and I forewent that because we had an early flight the next morning; however, I’ve heard nothing but good things about it and it’s something I’d definitely do if I went back.

The process of renting winter gear was seamless and easy, and Verda, one of our awesome tour guides, saw how much we loved dogsledding and suggested we go kicksledding, which is when you have to kick with one foot while dogs pull your sled (like those old Razr scooters). That was an unexpected yet super fun activity!

Overall, I would absolutely book with Yellowknife Vacations again. Emmett and Verda were friendly and extremely knowledgable of the rich indigenous history in the area, and they were organized, flexible, and thorough. Thank you so much for such a memorable trip!!
